One heaping teaspoon of loose tea for every 8 oz cup.
Water quality and temperature are important. Do not pour hot boiling water on tea leaves. Allow the boiling water to sit a few minutes in the teapot before pouring it into the infuser.
Let the tea leaves infuse anywhere between 3-7 minutes. Smaller leaves will infuse more rapidly.
Stop the infusion by pouring the tea into a cup or removing the filter. Remember to follow the proper infusing times. Infusing too long will overwhelm the flavor and cause bitterness, too short and the flavor of the tea won't reveal itself.
